Reflection: What the quote means is exactly that. Doing the wrong won't make you proud of yourself only because it's disrespectful one way or another. For example, it's impossible to feel proud after a felony. Knowing that things didn't have to happen that way shows that you feel guilty. Therefore you're feeling bad after the fact that you've made a really bad decision.
