Selecting Your Courses
Part 6

Success in AP can also help you in other ways. AP helps you stand out in the admission process and offers the opportunity to learn from some of the most inspiring teachers in the world. Learn more about the AP program.

For More Help in Choosing Courses
Use College Search to look up a specific college’s academic requirements to be sure you are on track to attend the college of your choice.
If you have concerns about your class schedule or progress in school, set up a meeting with your school counselor, teacher or adviser. There are many resources to help you with this process and with achieving your personal, college and career goals. Without goals, you meander all sorts of directions. Goals give you purpose, direction, enthusiasm, and passion for that which you really desire. Define your goals deliberately, evaluate your goals often and make changes as necessary, work hard to achieve your goals, and continue working hard until you actually do reach your goals.

Walk The Talk

Walk The Talk

This expression means so much to me only because there is so much more to it beside those three words. You don't have to do what others tell you to do, but what you feel. Walk the talk, do what you say you'red going to do. Accomplish your goals, you don't need to be part of the crowd. All you need is yourself. You are the only person that has control over you. It's all about your thoughts and what you feel and know is the right thing to do. You have choices, don't let anyone take them away. Opportunities are everywhere, just go for it if you feel like it'll be worthy of your time and effort.

Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement
"The only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habits. Good habits are the key to all success. Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure. Thus, the first law I will obey, which precedeth all other is- 'I will form good habits and become their slaves.' "
Og Mandino

Reflection: Having good habits will easily help a person stay focused. What the quote means is that everyone has the same amount of time to succeed, but the ones that do are the ones who have goal. With great habits, all can be accessed. For example, a good habit is starting your homework the moment you walk into your house.. those good grades will eventually pay off. You must choose the right.

7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens (2)

Habit 2

Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind
If teens aren't clear about where they want to end up in life, about their values, goals, and what they stand for, they will wander, waste time, and be tossed to and fro by opinions of others. Help your teen create a personal mission statement which will act as a road map and direct and guide his decision-making process.

"Keep your eyes on the prize." Determine your desired prize and don't quit until you have realized the achievement of your prize. Then set another prize, another goal or desire that you would really like to achieve. Begin with the achievement of your prize in mind. Visualize and then realize. Start by having a target in mind; know where you are going.

One prize or one goal you definitely need to establish for yourself. is the prize of an honorable graduation from high school that you will receive your diploma honestly and with integrity- that you earned it with perfect honesty.
