Teamwork Skills (3-10)

Teamwork Skills
3 of 10

Every time your class breaks into groups to tackle a challenge, you build teamwork skills. In college you'll continue to have these opportunities to practice voicing your opinions, listening and responding to others, and  reaching compromises. By the time you leave college, you can be an expert in this important workplace skill.

Together
Everyone
Achieves
More

Individually you can achieve so much, but when you work with others for a common cause, the same objectives, you can accomplish a tremendous amount more. You synergize your talents, knowledge and skills with those whom you work. All members of the team are edified together, a type of edification you can't obtain by working alone.

The Power Of Study Groups (1)

The Power Of Study Groups

Part 1

Working Together Helps Everyone
You may have noticed that when you're explaining something you've learned to a friend, you begin to understand it better yourself. This happens because, when you explain an idea, you need to think more deeply about it.
The same principle makes study groups useful. Studying with others in a small group is helpful because you:

  • Think out loud
  • Share Ideas
  • Learn from one another

In an effective study group, you and other students hash out lesson materials together- explaining concepts, arguing about them, figuring out why one person's answer differs from another's- and in the process, you most likely learn more than you would have studying by yourself.

Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement
"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."
Helen Keller

Reflection: To me, this quote means that even though one alone can  progress, with two.. the progress will be greater. One person working on their very own can do so much, but they'll need more time and their'll probably be more complications. Together, things are done faster because of teamwork, they'll go far. But then again, there are certain situations where it's better for one to be on their own rather than a group. It all depends.
